The difference between a home business that is just surviving and a home business that is thriving may depend on how good the customer service is. And with so many different ways to communicate with one’s clients and customers providing really great customer service can be quite a challenge.

Although it is an older form of business communication that most people should have mastered by now some have not mastered proper telephone manner yet. Some of the calls you receive may be from upset or angry customers or clients but it is essential to remain calm, poised and understanding. Getting involved in an unpleasant war of words with a disgruntled caller will only further damage their view of you and your business, something that they are likely to tell their friends about for days and weeks to come.
