When you have come to the decision of wanting to take the plunge into working for yourself at home, it can be daunting at first. Google Voice is one of the latest applications the internet behemoth has in beta right now, and it is a fantastic tool for the home business owner.

One of the downsides of operating a business from home can be the sense of isolation you may feel (especially if you are used to a bustling office environment). This loneliness can become overwhelming if left unchecked, leading the home business operator to abandon their venture altogether. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

First, make sure you establish a work routine, just like you used to have out in the “real” world. Eat your lunch away from your computer, or better still, arrange to meet an acquaintance for lunch once or twice a week. Getting out just for an hour can make all the difference and you will still have plenty of time to attend to your work.

When you are researching the best home business opportunities you can find any number of testimonials and “reviews” of almost every one of them that paint a glowing picture. (Yes, I really did go from living in cardboard box to the Trump Tower in less than a week with Workathomeconns.com !) It is often obvious many of these stories are simply not true. They are just another part of the overall marketing plan.

There are also more subtle ways that the consumers mind is swayed. There are any number of ‘review” sites on the Internet that claim to give honest opinions of a certain home business opportunity but, many of these sites are again just a front for a certain company’s product (the one that gets the glowing review.)

So with all this bad information how can you really tell the real money making opportunities from the hype?
